Bradford A. Phillips
Chief Executive Officer & Chairman of the Board
Brad has been the Chairman and Director of the LBL Group of Insurance Companies since 1999 and the President of Midland Securities, Ltd., a Dallas-based broker/dealer, since 2002.
Read MoreFrom January 1998 to May 2002, he served as President of InterFirst Capital Corporation, an SEC-registered broker/dealer in Los Angeles. Prior to that, he was President of Avacelle, Inc. in Dallas from 1995 to 1998 and worked at Arco International Oil and Gas Company in Plano from 1992 to 1995.
Brad holds a number of securities licenses, including the Series 4 (Options Principal), Series 7 (General Securities), Series 24 (General Securities Principal), Series 27 (Financial and Operations Principal), Series 53 (Municipal Securities Principal), Series 55 (Equity Trading Principal), and Series 63 (Blue Sky Securities).
In addition, he currently serves on the Board of Directors for Life Insurance Council. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Economics from Brown University and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

James Alworth
Sr. Managing Director, Capital Markets
James joined Midland Securities, Ltd. in 2014, establishing the Montclair, New Jersey office, and currently serves as the Municipal and General Securities Principal. With more than 30 years of experience in trading municipal bonds, he actively trades national paper with a focus on finding relative value in the marketplace and municipal arbitrage opportunities.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from East Stroudsburg University and is a member of the Municipal Bond Clubs of New York and New Jersey.
James is deeply involved in municipal securities and continuously contributes to the development of the field.

Anthony joined Midland Securities, Ltd. in 2015, contributing to the establishment of the Montclair, New Jersey office. He currently serves as the Head of Trading for Bank CDs, acting as a market-maker in both the primary and secondary CD markets.

Additionally, Eric trades the long end of the municipal bond curve, focusing on maturities of 20 years and longer.
